The Teamsters decided to endorse the Democratic state senator because of his commitment to worker safety, job creation and protecting Social Security.

"Mike supports issues important to working families in West Virginia, such as prevailing wage," said Local 175 President Ken Hall, who is also an international vice president of the Teamsters.  "His record on worker safety is second to none, and he has supported military veterans and their families.

"Teamsters Local 175 endorses candidates who protect the jobs we have and create new ones through infrastructure spending, and that's exactly what Oliverio will do for working families in West Virginia.

"I look forward to working with him in the House of Representatives to rebuild West Virginia's economy," Hall said.
