
TECT Aerospace, Inc. Hires Winkelmann as VP & GM Pacific Northwest Operations
WICHITA, Kan., March 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TECT Aerospace announced the hiring of Tom Winkelmann as vice president and general manager of their Pacific Northwest Operations in the greater Seattle area. Winkelmann succeeds Robert "Bob" Perry, who retired last month after a very successful and productive career with TECT that culminated with his tenure as VP & GM of Pacific Northwest Operations.
"Tom has a very deep understanding of the aerospace industry, having served in positions of increasing responsibility with Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Parker Hannifin and Smiths Aerospace in engineering, sales and operations, rising to the position of president at Smiths Tubular," said Pete Knapper, president of TECT Aerospace. Tom Winkelmann earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M and his MBA in international business from Texas Christian University.
Winkelmann is currently based in Gilford, N.H. He and his family will relocate to the Seattle, Wash. area in the near future.
