Telefónica Awards P.I. Works to Provide Network Optimization Services

Telefónica, one of the world's leading telecom operators, has chosen P.I. Works, a leading provider of mobile network performance improvement solutions deployed globally, to provide network optimization services.

As part of the agreement, P.I. Works will be using their own proprietary, centralized SON (Self-Organizing-Network) solution uSONTM, which allows to solve capacity and coverage issues in Telefónica mobile network.
As a result of Telefónica's extensive evaluation of P.I. Works services and solutions, radio access network quality has been improved, while network overload has been reduced. This has improved subscriber mobile experience, and reduced the need for base station upgrades.
