Texas Banker Tim Leonard Named Recipient of the 2016 Nation Meyer Innovative Banker Award by DCI

HUTCHINSON, Kan., Oct. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Center Inc. (DCI), the privately-owned developer of iCore360® core banking software and related technologies for community banks nationwide has named Tim Leonard, chief information officer at Commercial Bank of Texas, Nacogdoches, as the recipient of the third annual Nation Meyer Innovative Banker Award.

Leonard was presented with a custom hand-blown glass and metal award and $1,000 cash in a public ceremony at the DCI 2016 Annual Banker Conference in Kansas City this September.
The annual award recognizes a DCI banker for their contribution toward the betterment of banking for their community, the DCI family of banks and the industry as a whole, in honor of the company's founder, Nation Meyer, and his legacy of innovative vision in banking technology and community collaboration that founded DCI in 1963.

As CIO, Leonard manages Commercial Bank's entire information technology infrastructure, including daily operations, analysis, vendor and risk management, information security, compliance, budgeting and project management. He is a long-time contributor to the iCore360°User Group and beta testing process of introducing new DCI technology enhancements, and has experience as a private investigator and computer forensic examiner.
Leonard also shares his passion for banking and education by speaking several times a year to state and national conventions about IT infrastructure management and information security, and serves as a technology instructor at the Texas Tech University School of Banking and the SMU Southwest Graduate School of Banking.
In his spare time, Leonard works as a paramedic and certified EMS instructor for his county EMS service and leads leadership and communication exercises to help youth fully realize their potential. He speaks fluent Spanish and has trained medical first responders in Honduras, El Salvador and most recently Haiti.
