Texas Children's Hospital Named No. 1 Pediatric Hospital in Texas for 17th Consecutive Year; All Specialties Top Ranked Nationally Again

Nation's largest children's hospital remains home to the No. 1 pediatric heart center in the country and earns No. 1 ranking in Neurology & Neurosurgery and Pulmonology

With all service lines ranked in the top 10, it has earned a spot on the Best Children's Hospital Honor Roll and the No. 1 ranking in Texas for the 17th consecutive year.

All specialties are ranked nationally
With the partnership of academic affiliate Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children's Hospital — the largest freestanding children's hospital in the country — is a distinguished leader and resource for children and their families.

All ten specialties ranked in the top ten — in fact, nine service lines ranked in the top 5 or better, and 60% in the top 2, making Texas Children's one of the highest-ranked children's hospitals in the United States.

Neurology & Neurosurgery ranked No. 1 for the first time in the history of the organization, and Cardiology and Heart Surgery ranked No. 1 for the ninth year in a row. Neonatology, at No. 2, reached its highest ranking in a decade, and Orthopedics achieved its highest ranking in Texas Children's history. Also, Texas Children's received the highest available designation for Behavioral Health, a newly ranked specialty in 2024.

U.S. News & World Report ranking methodology
U.S. News & World Report introduced the Best Children's Hospitals ranking to help families of children with rare or life-threatening illnesses find the best medical care available. The rankings are the most comprehensive source available of quality-related information on U.S. pediatric hospitals. In 2024, only 88 children's hospitals were ranked in at least one of the 10 pediatric specialties evaluated for this annual report. Ten hospitals, including Texas Children's Hospital, ranked at the top of their class and were named to the 2024-2025 Honor Roll.
