"Because our average elevation is 325 feet at Texas Grand Ranch, our community weathered the storm well, without any flooding or loss of power. Our hearts go out to our many friends, loved ones, customers, and business associates in Houston and the surrounding areas that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey."

Immediately after the storm passed, Gary Sumner knew he, and business partner Michael Patten, wanted to get involved. They wanted to make sure the funds would make the biggest impact to those who needed it most.

"I have been a big fan of JJ Watt on and off the football field, and his positive role in the Houston community. When I heard he was getting involved after Hurricane Harvey, and 100% of the donations are going to those in need, I knew that was where our funds needed to go," continues Sumner. "I came out from Houston today which was totally under water, to Texas Grand Ranch to see how the neighborhood did, and throughout the neighborhood regardless of the elevation I saw no areas where there was evidence of water on the roads, so this neighborhood drains perfectly.
