PORTLAND, Maine, Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beacon Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Keegan as Senior Vice President, leading our Aerospace and Defense practice.
Matt most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff for SELEX Galileo Inc. In this role, he was responsible for formulating and implementing the Company strategy. As Chief of Staff and Officer, Director, and Secretary of the Board, Matt oversaw SELEX Galileo Inc.'s business units and the functional areas directly contributing to delivering products and services to the market. He was also responsible for all policies and procedures governing the organization. In his role as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Matt formulated the strategy for the organization and led all mergers and acquisitions activities. Finally, he led the Innovations Unit and has two Patents Pending; one in sUAS and one in directed energy.

Matt has extensive experience growing organizations, having led the introduction of solutions and service engagements into defense organizations such as DISA and NSWC, as well as civilian agencies like SBA and the National Gallery of Art. Matt also had a successful career in management and IT consulting with Oracle Corporation, A.T. Kearney, EDS, Ernst & Young, and KPMG where he led major capture efforts, business development organizations, and service organizations for product implementation services and hosting."
Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University. He is also a distinguished graduate of the National Defense University's (NDU) Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) where he was one of only 10 civilians selected as Industry Fellow. He graduated with a Master of Science (MS) in National Resource Strategy and remained a visiting Fellow to NDU's Center for Technology and National Security Policy (CTNSP) in both Cyber/Information Technology and Counter-Insurgency.
A prolific author, Matt has written articles, case studies and white papers on a range of national security topics ranging from technology application for counterinsurgency, to Pentagon procurement issues, to defense market direction, and strategic planning in the post-Cold War world.
