NEW YORK, May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Bloomberg announced the lineup for the Bloomberg Technology Conference: Code and the Corner Office, a gathering of business leaders and tech influencers featuring Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, Cisco strategist Padmasree Warrior, RedHat CEO Jim Whitehurst and more than 30 other speakers.
The conference is the centerpiece of a multi-platform editorial initiative that leverages Bloomberg's unparalleled breadth of media resources, including print, digital, television and radio platforms for a look at the way software development and coders are transforming corporations, schools and government.

The initiative will include a digital video series "First Line of Code," featuring a number of well-known developers sharing their personal stories of first discovering code. Bloomberg Businessweek's special issue on newsstands June 12 will be dedicated to demystifying code and the people who create it with a cover story by master software developer and journalist Paul Ford that explores on the origins of the most important coding languages and their use today. Other stories will cover advances in artificial intelligence, the workspaces of great coders, the coding hall of fame, and more.
