Grand reopening celebrates expansive renovation featuring reimagined gathering spaces, elevated dining, and modern Mediterranean design
RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif., Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, one of Southern California's most distinguished private golf clubs, proudly announces the grand reopening of its newly renovated Clubhouse, marking a multimillion-dollar investment in the member experience and reinforcing its reputation as a premier luxury lifestyle destination in Rancho Santa Fe.
Designed by acclaimed Hatch Design Group and Ohana Architects, the comprehensive Clubhouse renovation thoughtfully blends The Bridges' signature Tuscan architecture with contemporary Mediterranean design elements, creating refined spaces that honor the Club's heritage while introducing a fresh, modern aesthetic for the private enclave's members.
"I have been part of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe since its inception, and it has been incredibly rewarding to witness the Club's evolution over the years," said Development Director at The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Ken Ayers. "This renovation represents the latest chapter in that evolution by honoring the character and legacy of The Bridges while creating a more elevated and contemporary setting for our members."
"The Clubhouse renovation reflects our commitment to investing thoughtfully to enhance the long-term value of The Bridges," said Board President of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Brian O'Callaghan. "We took a holistic approach to the project, ensuring that every investment supports the priorities outlined in our strategic plan. With a total investment of $14 million, including approved additions, we are building for the future while delivering meaningful benefits to our members today."
"The strongest measure of our success, and the momentum we're building, is the overwhelmingly positive feedback we're receiving from our members," said COO and Club General Manager of The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, Jim Miller. "Every design decision was rooted in our commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience while honoring the soul and unique identity that has made The Bridges one of Southern California's most prestigious private clubs."
The redesigned Clubhouse introduces sophisticated gathering spaces, elevated dining experiences, and enhanced amenities that reflect the Club's continued dedication to hospitality, wellness, and luxury living. From the century-old reclaimed white oak floors in the Dining Room and radiant-heated stone floors on the Terrace to the sound-attenuation panels in the Club Bar, every social space was thoughtfully curated to foster comfort and connection while complementing the stunning backdrop of the championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones II.
"The Bridges is celebrated not only for its world-renowned golf course, framed by the extraordinary natural beauty of Rancho Santa Fe, but also for its distinctive Tuscan-inspired architecture, which transports members to feel as though they are in a hillside village in Italy," said Lead Interior Designer of Hatch Design Group, Stephanie Brooks. "Our role was to deepen that sense of place through thoughtful design. From the material palette to the spatial flow, every detail was carefully considered to reinforce the club's unique identity, creating spaces that feel both authentic and welcoming while honoring the architectural vision that has always set The Bridges apart."
The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, located in North County San Diego, is known for its championship golf course, luxury estates, world-class amenities, and vibrant social calendar. The Clubhouse serves as the heart of the community.
"Our vision for The Bridges was to create spaces that feel as inviting and comfortable outdoors as they do indoors," said Principal of Ohana Architects, Rocky Arnold. "By removing visual barriers and integrating glass walls, we were able to open up the sweeping views and create a seamless connection between the Clubhouse and the surrounding landscape. The expanded Living Room Terrace, along with fireplaces and nooks for gathering, has become a true extension of the Clubhouse, offering members a year-round destination for dining, socializing, and private events."
Anchoring the redesigned social spaces is a fully renovated commercial kitchen, thoughtfully reimagined to support an elevated culinary program and reflect the Club's commitment to world-class hospitality. The upgraded kitchen serves as home base for Executive Chef Alex Bloom's culinary vision, bringing The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe's onsite farm to the heart of his farm-to-table menu, with ingredients harvested at the peak of their flavor and fragrance.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Bloom has honed his craft in some of the world's most celebrated Michelin-starred kitchens, including Restaurant Daniel and Eleven Madison Park. At The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe, he has created a sophisticated and seasonal dining experience, pairing refined French technique with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Alongside Level 2 Sommelier Brian Green, Chef Bloom complements each dish with a world-class wine program, further enhancing The Bridges' distinctive member experience.
With the completion of the renovation, The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe has introduced a redesigned Clubhouse centered on elevated dining, expanded indoor-outdoor gathering spaces, contemporary Mediterranean interiors, and enhanced member amenities, all within its 550-acre private community in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
