The Emily Program appoints Chief Clinical Officer

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Emily Program, a nationally recognized eating disorder treatment provider, announced that Deb Schermann, M.A., L.P., has been appointed as Chief Clinical Officer. The new leadership position will have direct accountability for the overall clinical, operational and financial performance of The Emily Program's treatment sites.

The appointment is part of The Emily Program's ongoing commitment to maintaining high standards of care and clinical integration across its growing network of sites. Recent changes in organizational structure and processes are expected to streamline clinical decision-making and ensure a positive, consistent experience for clients, regardless of where they choose to access care.

Schermann will work closely with Dr. Mark Warren, The Emily Program's Chief Medical Officer, to ensure that medical, psychiatric and nursing modalities are efficiently integrated into clinical operations to satisfy regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Schermann most recently served as The Emily Program's Senior Director in the Midwest. She has worked in the eating disorder treatment field since 1987 as an individual, family, and group therapist. She has also participated in research and developed expertise in the area of obesity treatment.
