The First Edition of ISSA/INTERCLEAN Istanbul, Almost Showtime!

The first ever ISSA/INTERCLEAN Istanbul provides an overview of 100 represented companies and expects to draw 3,500 attendees. It is also set to be the one place where the entire cleaning industry from across the region will congregate to view product innovations, broaden their industry knowledge, and develop business relationships. This new international trade show for the cleaning industry in Turkey, Middle East and Northern Africa  will take place from 25-27 September 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Sharing know-how 

In partnership with ISSA and Turkish Cleaning Industry Association Teshiad, ISSA/INTERCLEAN Istanbul will present a top notch seminar programme. The conference runs alongside the first two days of the exhibition on 25 and 26 September.

Diversey Care President Dr Ilham Kadri has been confirmed as a keynote speaker, together with experts from around the world, she will sit on panels and lead breakout sessions covering the global cleaning industry and emerging markets. In what promises to be a wide-ranging and must attend session, Dr Kadri will offer her advice on how to develop, implement and maintain sustainability initiatives at all stages in the value chain and over a product's entire lifecycle.

The subjects of all five sessions:

Dr. Kadri will be discussing how to Balance Sustainability Goals Whilst Maintaining Effective Hygiene. She will be discussing impact of legislation, the needs of innovation, the real value of clean and embracing the global cleaning community. This session will be followed by an open forum.

Why hygiene is important in the washroom  

Speaker: Roberto Berardi, Chairman, European Tissue Symposium
This session will provide insights into recent studies and research, and will attempt to highlight the significance and importance of using the right tissue products in the washroom. The seminar will report on the results of the ETS' study undertaken during the past two years.

Certification with an international focus  

(what value does it bring to my business?)  

Speaker: Stan Atkins, Chief Executive Officer, British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc)
From his years of experience in the industry Mr. Atkins will outline the significance of a well trained workforce and the value it brings to business. This will include certification needs of cleaning operatives, supervisory staff, as well as the CIMS certification programme which is jointly supported by ISSA and BICSc Business Services (BBS).

The importance of doing business in the international market place  

Speaker: Clive Damonze, president National Cleaning Companies Association of South Africa (NCCA)
Mr. Damonze will present his experiences of expanding his business interests out of Africa and into the international community. This will be followed by a presentation on doing business in Turkey. It will include market data, cultural considerations, economic risk factors, and overviews of the existing cleaning industry in Turkey.

Working at height (health and safety)  

Speaker: Craig Mawlam, Chairman Federation of UK Window Cleaners
Presentation will include outline of European Regulations concerning working at height and the importance of Health and Safety compliance and the need to have fully trained operatives. Will also include insides into new technology, pure water and reach and wash systems.

This first ever edition of ISSA/INTERCLEAN Istanbul is poised to a must-attend platform in 2014.
