The Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers Sponsor LEGO Build and 'Hands On' Contest at Auto Show
MINNEAPOLIS, March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The Greater Twin Cities Honda Dealers (GTCHDA) have several events planned for this year's Twin Cities Auto Show, including its "Hands On A Honda" contest and a live LEGO build of the 2019 Honda Civic Type R. Free tickets are being given away at dealerships while supplies last.
The GTCHDA and iHeartRadio are giving away a new 2019 HR-V in the "Hands On A Honda" contest. Starting Mar. 13 at 3 a.m., 18 contestants will test their endurance by maintaining contact with the vehicle until 8 p.m. on Mar. 14. The last person standing with their hand on the HR-V will be the winner.
Contestants may register through iHeartRadio stations KFAN, KDWB, K102, KOOL108, Cities 97.1, or Twin Cities Newstalk, keyword "Honda," until Mar. 7, or at the Honda booth from Mar. 9 to Mar. 12 during the auto show. Contestants must be 18 or older and possess a valid driver's license.
For the second consecutive year, "professional kid" Sean Kenney and his team will build a 3D model of the 2019 Civic Type R with LEGO pieces. Artist Meghan Ritchey will be building the model on Mar. 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17. After the auto show, the model will be displayed at each dealership throughout the year.
"Not only will we have our award-winning lineup on the floor, we will be building a 3D model of the Civic Type R," said Dan Resch, GM at Walser Honda. "Kids young and old will enjoy seeing [it] come together."
A kid's area will be nearby for children to create their own LEGO masterpieces while parents view the Honda lineup, including the all-new 2019 Passport, Honda's 5-passenger V6-powered SUV that blends on- and off-road capability with style, safety and best-in-class interior space.
