The Green Grid Welcomes AT&T, Digital Realty To Its Expanded Board Of Directors
Diversified BoD part of broader changes to drive resource efficient ICT ecosystems
PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Green Grid® Association, the global authority on effective and accountable resource efficiency across the entire information and communications technology (ICT) ecosystem, today announced the addition of two new member companies to its recently expanded board of directors, welcoming both AT&T and Digital Realty to the consortium's governing body.
The Green Grid decided to expand the diversity and size of its board of directors as part of a broader organizational restructuring. The Green Grid's collective leadership team committed to this and several other changes to ensure the organization's continued global leadership in driving effective and accountable resource efficiency across the rapidly changing ICT industry.

The Green Grid restructured its organization to increase member value, accelerate agility, and increase global impact by implementing the following changes:
- Challenge and refine The Green Grid's mission;
- Align The Green Grid's organizational structure to accelerate delivery on the group's mission;
- Identify core strategic areas of implementation;
- Increase the diversity of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council;
- Expand The Green Grid's marketing management model; and
- Optimize The Green Grid's resource allocation in support of the above changes.
The addition of AT&T and Digital Realty brings board-level representation to a total of 11 companies, including Cisco Systems, Dell Inc., EMC Corporation, Emerson Network Power, Google, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, and Schneider-Electric. Representatives from these companies comprise The Green Grid's board of directors and set the strategic direction for the organization.
