SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hunt (www.thehunt.com), a community that hunts down outfits and items for each other, is announcing today that it's available on Android with a new design and features that will dramatically improve the user experience.
The closest thing to having your own personal shopper and stylist at your fingertips, The Hunt app lets anyone tap into its community of more than 3 million members by posting a picture of a look or item they want and asking fellow members help find it in the desired size, fit and price. Home to more than 5 million hunts since its 2013 launch – of which 55-60 percent are solved within 24 hours – The Hunt now offers to the billion plus Android users that same convenience enjoyed by those who use its iOS app.
The new Android app is based on Google's Material Design framework to offer a clean, responsive and easy-to-use update of The Hunt, with notable elements including:
- New user interface design that emphasizes the community and their hunts
- New user experience that turns The Hunt into more of a shopping game by enabling users to "upvote" the proposed answers of each hunt – thus enabling a reputation system for expert Hunt solvers to show off their skills and allowing the best answers to get more visibility
- Enhanced "tag" filters to better find what you're looking for or to find the Hunts you want to solve
