The Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN) Announces "Flex-staffing" Request For Proposals (RFP) for U.S. Businesses in 2013

EAST LANSING, Mich., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN) Shared Services has published its 2013 "Flex-staffing" Request for Proposals (RFP) for U.S. businesses interested in applying to become a MiHIN approved vendor for general project work, information technology (IT) services and security and privacy services. MiHIN's "Flex-staffing" approach allows the company to flexibly employ necessary additional personnel to aid in achieving operational and organizational goals as they relate to electronic health information data sharing. MiHIN's "Flex Staffing" pre-approved vendors consist of competitively-selected United States Businesses (USBs) that provide hourly work-for-hire and/or fixed price deliverables to augment MiHIN's full-time permanent staff in support of MiHIN initiatives. Responses to the RFPs will be ranked and the highest scoring respondents will then be eligible candidates to enter MiHIN's Master Agreement (MMA) to deliver services.  Candidates successfully executing MiHIN's Master Agreement then become official MiHIN Approved Vendors (MAVS) and may immediately begin receiving Statements of Work (SOWs) for paid project work.

MiHIN is soliciting proposals for a variety of professional services capabilities. This RFP is open to all legal U.S. businesses that possess the necessary qualifications criteria and comply with the submission instructions. Subject to limitations imposed by Federal Law, bidders shall receive additional preference for being a minority-owned business, a woman-owned business, a business that meets the definition of a small business as defined by United States Small Business Administration (SBA), a small business concern owned and controlled by veterans, or those within an 80 mile radius of East Lansing to minimize face to face travel requirements.
