The Mosaic Company Gives $35,000 to the American Red Cross to Aid Disaster Relief in New Mexico

CARLSBAD, N.M., Sept. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) announced it is contributing $35,000 to the American Red Cross in New Mexico for disaster relief efforts in areas of the state that recently experienced heavy rainfall and flash flooding, including Eddy County and the community of Carlsbad. The American Red Cross established a shelter at Carlsbad High School as several neighborhoods were evacuated during the worst of the flooding.

Mosaic's contribution to the Red Cross will assist both immediate and long-term assistance, and support clean-up efforts in communities hit hardest by the flood. Mosaic operates one potash mine in New Mexico, located approximately 25 miles east of Carlsbad.
