When asked when she first began creating, Jody responded, "As a child, I was blessed with vivid dreams of animals. My mother asked me to draw them. It was my first step toward life as a nature artist." In addition to being a naturally talented artist, Jody also earned a degree in engineering, with Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) all playing a role in her artistic compositions.
