ALAMEDA, California, 15 de agosto de 2017 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- Con el propósito de convertir el deporte de la escalada en una actividad más accesible e inclusiva, The North Face anunció hoy una campaña de marca global que les pide a las personas repensar la manera en que miramos a las paredes. Las paredes son lugares donde los aficionados a la escalada se reúnen para ponerse a prueba a sí mismos, fortalecer la confianza y reforzar las comunidades. Las paredes no están hechas para dividirnos, ellas nos unen. Las paredes están hechas para escalarlas.

Para celebrar el lanzamiento de la campaña y para destacar los vínculos que se forman al practicar la escalada, The North Face hará una donación de $1M a The Trust for Public Land como apoyo a la construcción de rocódromos públicos en un número mayor de comunidades, con énfasis en zonas subatendidas y en hacer el deporte más accesible para todos.

The North Face también está formando alianzas con gimnasios e instalaciones de todo el mundo para hacer del 19 de agosto el día mundial de la escalada, con oportunidades gratuitas para escalar en ciudades de Estados Unidos, Europa, Canadá, México y China.

Por cada persona que visite a uno de los gimnasios participantes, The North Face donará $5 (hasta $50,000) a Paradox Sports, una organización con el compromiso de hacer que la escalada sea accesible para las personas con discapacidades físicas. En Nueva York, Shanghái y Londres se realizarán otras actividades de escalada con atletas.
