The Red Door by Elizabeth Arden Announces New Additions to Hair Salon Team
NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Red Door by Elizabeth Arden, the leading North American day and resort spa operator, announced today the addition of three hair experts. Heather Packer, Rachel Bodt, and Joyce Gallagher will join the team of talented stylists and colorists behind the chair at The Red Door Salon in Union Square.
Heather Packer, a New York City hair stylist with over a decade of experience, joins The Red Door as Style Educator. In her new role, Ms. Packer will focus on updating the curriculum, training, and education for special occasion and bridal style hair.
Packer received a business degree from St. Thomas University and attended beauty school in Miami, before moving to New York City. She began her career at Bumble & Bumble, assisting acclaimed stylist Jimmy Paul, and has since styled fashion shows in New York, Paris, and Milan. Heather has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Keira Knightley, and Cate Blanchett and executed editorial shoots for Vogue, Italian Vogue, French Vogue, and ID. In 2007, Packer began working at Cutler Salon and later developed the editorial hair styling curriculum for incoming and prospective stylists.
Rachel Bodt joins the team at The Red Door as Master Colorist. Previously a Senior Colorist at Cutler/Redken Salon in New York City, Ms. Bodt is immersed in the fashion and beauty industry and known for her knowledge of color and refined technique. Rachel's celebrity clientele includes Charolette Gainsbourg, Tilda Swinton, Michael Pitt, Michelle Williams, Maggie Rizer, Emily Blunt, and Marisa Tomei. Her model list includes Kate Moss, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Karen Elson, and Gigi Hadid.
Ms. Bodt has also worked on campaigns for Saint Laurent, Rag and Bone, NARS, Sonia Rykiel, Just Cavalli, and Versace and regularly collaborates with Balenciaga during Paris Fashion Week. Her editorial work is featured in Vogue, W Magazine, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar.
Joyce Gallagher, Senior Colorist, joins the team with nearly a decade of experience. Gallagher previously worked at Cutler Salon where she was active in educating and training a future generation of colorists. Joyce specializes in multi-dimensional blonde techniques, including balayage, an advanced coloring technique that paints the hair for a blended, natural look. Her work has been featured on The Rachel Ray Show.
