Employees Travel to the Island of Nevis in the West Indies

WILMINGTON, Del., June 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 30 Siegfried Professional Resources were joined by Siegfried's Executive Team and other members of Siegfried's Leadership for a program focused on "Mastering Your Journey for Your Bigger Future." Professional Resources with at least three years of client service at the Firm were eligible to participate in this extraordinary event at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort on the island of Nevis, located in the West Indies.

Robert Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer & President, kicked off the meeting by sharing his expectations, stating "We are confident that your time here over the next few days will provide you with key insights about your future, and that these insights will leave you feeling even more passionate and motivated about your future with our Firm."

Mr. Siegfried led the first day's program by sharing reflections from several of the Firm's Alumni and engaging the group in a series of workshops aimed at personal and professional development, drawing upon several Strategic Coach tools. Underpinning the program was the new Siegfried Mastering Your Journey program, designed to put its Professional Resources in a position of strength, personally and professionally, along seven dimensions including, Technical Expertise, Mental Agility, Compelling Connections, Your Bigger Future, Connected to the World, Confidence and Entrepreneurial Leadership. Siegfried's Leadership plans to incorporate this powerful program Firm-wide.

Outside speakers included a prominent and long-standing client and two external Siegfried Advisory Board members.  The speakers played to the theme of the Mastering Your Journey program as follows:

  • The Controller of a global Fortune 100 company spoke to the relationship between The Siegfried Group and her company, including the attributes that she uses to determine high performance;
  • Dave LaRue, CEO, Entrepreneur and Siegfried Advisory Board member, led a workshop centered on Life Defining Moments and the Siegfried Experience, engaging our Professional Resources in a personal growth exercise tied to creating a bigger future;
  • Joan Davidson, Group President of The Sheridan Group and Siegfried Advisory Board member, shared her personal journey with key insights pertaining to values and making choices in life.

Initial feedback from the attendees was resoundingly positive. The Mastery Summit experience included a great balance of program content and time to enjoy the venue, which included golf, hiking, snorkeling, great dinners, and camaraderie. The small size of the group provided for a great level of intimacy and valued interactions with Siegfried's Executive Team and Leadership, the outside speakers and with colleagues across the markets. No doubt, the meeting accomplished its goals.
