The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Boston and Stamford Markets for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., March 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Las Vegas.

In the Boston and Stamford Markets, Siegfried is excited about Tim Donahue, Hasan Henry, Jerry Murray, Mario Rivero and Anli Serfontein joining the Firm.

Tim Donahue

Tim is an accounting professional joining the Boston team as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Grant Thornton, where he gained three years of audit experience with a primary focus in the biotech and financial service industry. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

Tim's strengths include his ability to provide solutions to complex issues, coupled with positive attitude make him a distinctive player in the workplace. "I joined the Siegfried team to become a more integral part of the development of growing companies in the biotech industry," Tim says.

In his free time, Tim stays active through sports and community service in the Boston area. He plays basketball year round, and during the summer runs a noncompetitive volleyball league. On a monthly basis he helps out with Boston food banks and seeks to help peers in the industry develop professionally.

Hasan Henry

Hasan is an accounting professional who joins the Stamford Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained over six years of audit experience covering a variety of industries. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and his Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford.

Hasan's professionalism, determination and confidence are what set him apart in the workplace. "I was drawn to Siegfried because of the interesting and challenging assignments, and the ability to take your career in your own hands," Hasan says.

When he's not hard at work, Hasan enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He also is really into carpentry and is currently doing various home renovations!

Jerry Murray, CPA

Jerry is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Stamford, Connecticut market as a Senior Director. Gerard is an experienced financial executive with over 30 years of experience development, communication and implementation of value-added processes, controls and reporting strategies. He has most recently worked with MBIA, Inc., in a variety of roles including Controller of Insurance Companies and Director of Internal Audit.

Gerard believes he can offer his years of varied and deep experience to Siegfried's clients. According to Jerry, "With the Firm's distinctive culture, it's a great opportunity to leverage my experience and skill set to Siegfried's growing client base."

In his spare time, Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife and his two daughters, who are in college. He also enjoys traveling, having been all over the United States and Europe, and playing tennis.

Mario Rivero

Mario is an accounting professional who joins the Boston Market as a Manager. He has previously worked as a Manager of Financial Reporting at Sabadell United Bank, a Senior Auditor at Ingram Micro and a Senior Associate at PwC. He received his Bachelors of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell.

Mario looks forward to taking on new challenges with The Siegfried Group. "The opportunity to grow my skills and experience a variety of different engagements is why I ultimately decided to join Siegfried," Mario says.

Mario enjoys travelling, and while in college he studied abroad in Heidelberg, Germany. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, and can also speak some German! He is returning to Boston after spending several years in Florida, and is looking forward to spending more time in his home state.

Anli Serfontein, CPA

Anli is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Boston market as a Senior Manager. She joins us from CBIZ Tofias, where she was a Manager working in the commercial, non-profit and employee benefit plan practices. Anli graduated with an Honors Bachelors of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, and a Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg.

According to Anli, "I wanted to be part of an organization that values clients, employees and the Firm equally, and provides the opportunity to work on challenging engagements while still having the opportunity to work in a client facing environment."

Anli loves to travel and discover new places to visit - especially if the trip includes good food and a vineyard! Her most recent adventure was a week long road trip around Ireland. Anli also spent a year living and working in London after she graduated high school.
