The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Central Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia.

In the Central Region, Siegfried is excited about Chris Hering, DJ Logan, Joe Porreca, Matthew Rinzel and Matthew Salinsky joining the team.

Chris Hering, CPA

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Detroit Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Grant Thornton, where he gained audit experience with a primary focus in manufacturing. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Oakland University.

Chris always strives to challenge the status quo by embracing change and developing innovative solutions for process improvement. "The Siegfried Group is a perfect fit for me because they give me the ability to continually challenge myself on client engagements and continually grow," Chris says.

In his free time, Chris enjoys spending as much time as possible with friends and family. He also enjoys vacationing to northern Michigan, where he travels several times a year to snowboard or hit the beach, depending on the season.

DJ Logan, CPA 

DJ is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Detroit Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried from UHY, where he gained nine years of audit experience with a primary focus in the manufacturing industry for both privately held and publicly traded corporations. He received his BSBA with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Central Michigan University.

DJ's positive attitude and willingness to help others, encourages coworkers to establish a more enjoyable work environment. DJ says, "The opportunity of expanding my experience, learning new systems and building relationships with new clients is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In his free time, DJ supports his Detroit sports teams and is a Michigan football season ticket holder. He spends most fall Saturdays in Ann Arbor tailgating and cheering on the Wolverines. DJ also enjoys playing softball and camping in many of the state parks in Michigan.     

Joe Porreca, CPA

Joe is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Philadelphia Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from S.R. Snodgrass, where he gained seven years of audit experience with a primary focus in the banking industry. He received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.

Joe's dedicated client service, attention to detail and willingness to learn are what set him apart in the workplace. Joe says, "The opportunity to work in new industries, alongside dedicated and intelligent people, is what drew me to Siegfried."

In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends. He's an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loves to go to Eagles and Phillies games. He also enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring Philadelphia and traveling.

Matthew Rinzel, CPA 

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Deloitte, where he gained three years of audit experience with a primary focus in the public utilities and manufacturing industries. He received both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Marquette University.

Matt's desire to consistently challenge himself, coupled with his desire to ensure the clients he works with always receive the best product possible help to distinguish him within the workplace. Matt says, "The challenge of working within new industries and taking on new client projects, while networking and creating positive client relationships along the way, is why I wanted to join The Siegfried Group."

In his free time, Matt stays active through fitness and sport. When he's not going to the gym or playing league sports in Chicago, Matt loves to travel back to Wisconsin to his parent's house. There he likes to help with chores on their farm, hunt and fish. Matt is one of nine children and enjoys spending time with his siblings and all of his nieces and nephews. 

Matthew Salinsky 

Matthew joins the Cleveland Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from KPMG, where he gained three and a half years of audit experience with a primary focus in the retail industry. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from University of Akron.

Matthew's attention to detail and problem solving skills make him a valuable team member. Matthew says, "The opportunity to increase my accounting knowledge and personal network, along with obtaining challenging client projects, is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In his free time, Matthew stays active through exercise and fitness. He enjoys playing guitar and following his favorite sports team, the Cleveland Indians. He also has recently completed the feat of passing all four parts of the CPA exam!
