The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Central Region for New Hire Orientation
New Employees Travel to Philadelphia's Four Seasons Hotel
WILMINGTON, Del., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.
Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at the Four Seasons' Swann Lounge, and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia such as Smith & Wollensky, Vetri and Parc.
In the Central Region, Siegfried is excited about Alex Caruana, James Farrelly, Matthew Kuttler, Joe Thompson, Matthew Wilker and Jim Wilkow joining the Firm.
Alexander Caruana, CPA
Alexander is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Philadelphia Metro Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from Qualtek USA, LLC, and has also previously worked with EY. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Wilmington University.
Alexander brings an elite work-ethic to every project. His collaborative and innovative approach to solving problems, coupled with his drive to add value to every team he is a part of, make him a unique player in the workplace. Alexander says, "The challenge of undertaking a variety of client assignments while working in conjunction with dedicated, intellectual and inspiring people is why I chose to be a part of Siegfried."
In his free time, Alexander stays active through travel. He also enjoys snorkeling and scuba diving in the Florida Keys as well as taking in historical sites throughout India and the U.S. He plans to continue to explore wherever his work travels take him.
James Farrelly
James is an accounting professional who joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from KPMG, where he gained three years of audit experience with a primary industry focus in manufacturing. He received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting and his Masters in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
James always brings a positive attitude and inspires others to become more involved and identify new ways to add value. His innovative vision brings a new perspective to every project. James says, "The diverse experience, challenging work, and the ability to deliver value through a unique model, is why I joined Siegfried."
In his free time, James enjoys spending as much time as he can with his family and friends. He loves staying active and enjoying the Midwest scenery by participating in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and fishing. James also recently got engaged to his fiance, Mary!
Matthew Kuttler
Matt is an accounting professional who joins the Philadelphia Market as a Senior Manager. He comes to Siegfried with seven years of audit experience from PwC Investment Management practice and three years of experience developing his own consulting firm. He received his Bachelors in Accounting and Management Information Systems from LaSalle University.
Matt has extensive experience delivering valuable results and levelheaded leadership to clients. He joined Siegfried to continue experiencing challenging and diverse work provided by clients that are leaders within their industry. According to Matt, "The growth and positive reputation surrounding Siegfried brought me to the door. Leadership, transparency and personable communication drove me to become part of the organization."
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and two sons. He is an avid water sports enthusiast who loves sailing and surfing. Matt enjoys traveling and has sailed around the Greek Islands, did scuba and surfed in Fiji.
Joe Thompson, CISA, CIA
Joe is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Internal Auditor who joins the Detroit Market as a Director. Joe comes to Siegfried from Orion Solutions Group, where he was a Senior Consultant, and has over 20 years of experience in accounting, audit and IT. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
Joe's reasoned and precise approach to auditing, coupled with his ability to be a team player, make him a great fit for Siegfried. He says, "I look forward to working at Siegfried because I am excited to be able to work for different clients within a variety of industries."
In his free time, Joe enjoys listening to and playing music, and is an avid drummer. He also loves spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
Matthew Wikler, CPA
Matthew is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Philadelphia Metro Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from Deloitte, where he gained three and a half years of audit experience in a range of diverse industries. He received his Bachelors of Science in both Accounting and Finance at Villanova University.
Matt's ability to integrate with diverse teams and ignite well-informed discussions allows him to utilize insightful collaboration to achieve exceptional results in the workplace. Matt says, "The opportunity to experience a wide-range of challenging projects and drive my own personal success is why I was drawn to Siegfried."
In his free time, Matt is always on the move through running and traveling. He competed on the Varsity Track & Field and Cross-Country team during his time at Villanova and tries to maintain that active lifestyle. He also tries to vacation as much as possible visiting OCNJ, OBX, Miami, Las Vegas, Hawaii, New Zealand and Punta Cana (twice!) during 2014. He plans to continue this on-the-go lifestyle while at Siegfried and looks forward to traveling for work whenever possible.
Jim Wilkow, CPA
Jim is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Cleveland Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried after four years of corporate accounting and reporting experience with TransDigm Group Incorporated and Cliffs Natural Resources. His previous experience also includes working with Grant Thornton in Cleveland for three years with a focus on energy and manufacturing clients. He received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from John Carroll University.
Jim enjoys tackling new problems and he prides himself on staying calm under pressure. He utilizes inventive action to take on tough challenges and provide successful results. Jim says, "What drew me to Siegfried was the opportunity to constantly be working on new and challenging projects."
Jim is an avid Cleveland sports fan and loves catching a Browns, Indians or Cavaliers game. He loves music, and has played the saxophone since he was in the fourth grade. When he isn't hard at work, Jim enjoys working out, cooking and traveling.
