The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Central Region for Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Four Seasons in Philadelphia, PA. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model and various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of Philadelphia's finest restaurants.

In Siegfried's Central region, the Firm is excited about Keirah Burrell, Kwako Danso-Abeam, Steve Gorski and Daniel Paquin joining the team.

Keirah Burrell, CPA

Keirah is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Detroit Market as a Senior Associate. She joins Siegfried from PwC, where she had four years of audit experience working within a variety of industries. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an Accounting specialization from The Ohio State University.

"I joined Siegfried for the promise of interesting and challenging work, which really appealed to me," Keirah says. "I also appreciate the entrepreneurial focus of the Firm's business model."

Keirah's keen eye for detail and proactive attitude allow her to stand out in the workplace. In her leisure time, she enjoys social dance classes and discovering new restaurants. 

Kwaku Danso-Abeam, CPA, MS

Kwaku is a Certified Public Accountant that joins Siegfried's Detroit Market as a Senior Associate. Previously he worked for PwC, where he gained approximately three years of audit experience. Kwaku received both his Undergraduate and Master of Science Accounting degrees from Michigan State University.

Kwaku enjoys challenging himself, and joined Siegfried because of the variety of interesting projects. One of his greatest professional attributes is his positive attitude and optimistic outlook. "I try to always wear a smile on my face," Kwaku says. "Hopefully, it helps to brighten someone's day."

Kwaku is originally from Ghana, and his name means "Wednesday born" in his native language, Twi.

Steve Gorski, CPA

Steve is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as a Senior Associate. He joins Siegfried from Grant Thornton, where he gained three years of audit experience. He received his BS in Accounting, Finance, and Technology Management from Indiana University.

Steve's drive, flexibility and willingness to take on new and challenging projects are what set him apart in the workplace. Steve says, "The variety of work and projects was initially what drew me to Siegfried, but the culture was what really sold me!"

In his spare time, Steve volunteers as a member of the Auxiliary Board of Midtown Educational Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping and mentoring at-risk youth. While in high school, Steve was selected for the USA Rookie Baseball team, where he played in Australia for two weeks!

Daniel Paquin, CPA

Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Detroit Market as a Senior Manager. He joins Siegfried from the utility industry and was previously employed at EY, where he gained seven years of audit experience working within a variety of industries as well as in the firm's Professional Practice Group. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, graduating in the top 1% of his class.

Daniel's confidence and fresh perspective allow him to deliver consistently excellent client service. According to Daniel, "I joined The Siegfried Group because I liked the idea of always experiencing new environments and opportunities."

Daniel recently completed a multi-year commitment with his father by hiking the Bruce Trail, which runs over 500 miles from Niagara to Tobermory in Ontario!
