The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Northeast Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose. On the final day of orientation, the group also had the chance to attend Siegfried's fourth MY Journey™ Live Event, focused on "Mental Agility." Key note speakers included Dr. Bill Isaacs, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management and founder and President of Dialogos, and Dr. Kaihan Krippendorff, CEO of OutThinker LLC.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia.

In Siegfried's Northeast region, the Firm is excited about Ivy Cheung, Elizabeth Gertz and Joseph Pottackal joining the team.

Ivy Cheung, CPA

Ivy is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as a Senior Associate. Her previous experience includes three years of audit experience with PwC. Ivy received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Ivy's drive, adaptability, and commitment to exceptional quality are what set her apart in the workplace.  Ivy says, "Siegfried offers the opportunities to work in exciting and challenging environments in which I thrive, while maintaining a strong company culture with difference makers that truly believe in the Firm."

In her spare time, Ivy enjoys playing in a competitive club volleyball league, where her team has won three seasons in a row. She also enjoys hiking, reading historical fiction novels, and traveling with friends.

Elizabeth Gertz

Liz joins the New York Metro Market as a Senior Associate. Prior to joining Siegfried, she worked at PwC, where she gained three years of financial services audit experience. She received a BBA in Accounting and International Business from Cleveland State University.

Liz's ambition, attention to detail, and overall strategic mindset are what differentiate her from her peers. Liz says, "I was drawn to Siegfried by the uniquely positioned business model, and I look forward to living the model by working on diverse projects while adding value to my clients!"

In her spare time, Liz enjoys marathon training, yoga and exploring New York City as she is a recent transplant to the city. She also loves to travel, and took trips to Thailand and Chile as an undergraduate in college. Liz also enjoys volunteering. Over the past four years she has raised over $5,000 for blood cancer research through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Team in Training" program!

Joseph Pottackal

Joe joins Siegfried's Boston Market as a Senior Associate. Previously he worked for Wolf & Co. where he gained three years of audit experience in various industries that included financial services, investment management and manufacturing. Joe received his Bachelor's in Accounting from Stonehill College.

Joe's drive, flexibility, and ability to adapt and learn quickly are what make him unique among his peers. According to Joe, "I joined Siegfried for the unique culture and for the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally!"

He enjoys traveling as much as possible and while in college, Joe had the opportunity to live in London. In his spare time, Joe enjoys staying active by playing soccer, football and beach volleyball.
