The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the Northeast Region for New Hire Orientation in Miami

WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the W Hotel in Miami, Florida. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Miami.

In Siegfried's Northeast region, the Firm is excited about Christopher Desmangles, Nelson Lopes, Alexandra Perez-Maspons and Kelly Vila joining the team.

Christopher Desmangles, CPA

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained five years of audit experience. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chris's professionalism, determination and confidence allow him to consistently deliver excellent client service. According to Chris, "I was driven to Siegfried because they offer the ability to take your career into your own hands and work on a variety of interesting projects."

In his spare time, Chris loves to dance, sing and explore new restaurants. He also loves to travel as much as possible, and is attempting to fulfill his "50 by 50" goal, which involves visiting all 50 states by age 50. While in college, Chris spent his spring break in South Africa with his college glee club, visiting various tribes and towns and singing with choirs and choruses there.

Nelson Lopes, CPA

Nelson is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Stamford Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained five years of audit experience. He also accumulated over four years of accounting experience prior to joining PwC while working in the leasing and healthcare industries. He received his BS in Finance from Western Connecticut State University.

Nelson's drive, self-starter attitude, and eagerness to take on new and challenging projects are what set him apart in the workplace. Nelson says, "The opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and on a broad range of projects is what drew me to Siegfried."

In his spare time, Nelson likes to travel the world with his family. Far East Asia is the next destination on his list. While in college, Nelson captained his soccer team for two consecutive years at the Red Bull New York Overnight Soccer Tournament, which was an annual charity event for the American Cancer Society.

Alexandra Perez-Maspons, CPA

Alexandra is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from PwC, where she gained four years of audit experience. She received her Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Florida and received her Master's in Accountancy from Vanderbilt University.

Alexandra looks forward to building lasting relationships with all of her clients. She says, "I am excited for the opportunities Siegfried offers to work in various accounting roles and within many different industries!"

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys cooking, exercising, and traveling. Alexandra also enjoys being active in her local community, and often spends time volunteering with the New York chapter of the Best Buddies organization.

Kelly Vila, CPA

Kelly is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from PwC, where she gained four years of audit experience. She received her BS in Accounting from Florida International University and her Masters in Accounting from Vanderbilt University.

Kelly's positive attitude, flexibility and eagerness to learn are what make her unique. Kelly says, "I have always appreciated Siegfried's unique model as an accounting firm, but what makes it even better for me is the amazing network of individuals I now have access to." 

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys being active, cooking, and taking advantage of New York's famous culinary scene by exploring new restaurants. She loves to travel, and attended school in Florida and Tennessee before settling in New York. Kelly also has an identical twin sister!
