WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose. On the final day of orientation, the group also had the chance to attend Siegfried's fourth MY Journey™ Live Event, focused on "Mental Agility." Key note speakers included Dr. Bill Isaacs, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management and founder and President of Dialogos, and Dr. Kaihan Krippendorff, CEO of OutThinker LLC.
Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia.
In Siegfried's South Region, the Firm is excited about Manuel Gonzalez, Paul Lee, Antonio McDowell and Alexa Williams joining the team.
Manuel Gonzalez, CPA
Mannie is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Atlanta Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained three years of audit experience. He received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Mannie's flexibility and eagerness to learn makes him adaptable to a variety of projects. Mannie says, "The challenging work and travel opportunities was initially what drew me to Siegfried, but the diversity of projects is what really sold me!"
Mannie is an avid sports fan and loves to travel to see his teams play. When he's not watching sports, he enjoys extreme outdoor activities including sky diving, rock climbing and zip lining. Mannie also likes to give back to his community by volunteering at food shelters and participating in Habitat for Humanity projects.
Paul Lee, CPA
Paul is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Atlanta market as an Associate Manager. Previously, Paul worked at Deloitte where he gained five years of audit experience focused in the manufacturing and real estate industries. Paul graduated from The College of William and Mary with BBA in Finance and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with his Masters in Accounting.
Paul joined The Siegfried Group because he looks forward to the opportunities to work on a wide variety of interesting projects. According to Paul, "I look forward to gaining knowledge and experience in accounting fields outside of audit."
When he's not hard at work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, friends and his dog. He is also a golf enthusiast who enjoys watching the sport, as well as enjoying Atlanta's beautiful weather by playing at the city's many golf courses.
Antonio joins Siegfried's Atlanta Market as a Manager. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked for EY, where he gained 10 years of audit, advisory, and national project experience primarily in the financial services industry, as well as assisting on audit engagements in various other industries. He received his BBA with a concentration in Accounting from Morehouse College and earned his Master of Science in Accountancy from The University of Notre Dame.
"I am very excited to be a part of the Firm and participate in projects that cover a wide array of industries and accounting topics," Antonio says. "The thought of being able to work in various accounting roles at different companies and to obtain the knowledge to perform those roles is very intriguing to me."
In his spare time, Antonio enjoys being with friends and family and traveling. He has also developed an interest in healthy living, and has been learning about becoming a healthier person by eating well and trying different workouts.
Alexa joins the Washington, DC Metro Area office as a Senior Associate. Her previous experience includes working as a Compensation Accounting Analyst at Mars, Inc. and as a Senior Auditor at EY. Alexa received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Penn State University.
According to Alexa, "I was drawn to The Siegfried Group because of the opportunity to grow in a variety of areas of accounting at a faster pace. I really felt a connection with everyone I met at Siegfried, and am excited about all of the opportunities the Firm offers!"
In her spare time, Alexa enjoys spending as much time as possible with family, including her niece who was just born this past August. She also enjoys running and participating in 5Ks and fun runs around the DC area!
