New Employees Travel to Philadelphia's Four Seasons Hotel
WILMINGTON, Del., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.
Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at the Four Seasons' Swann Lounge, and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia such as Smith & Wollensky, Vetri and Parc.
In the South Region, Siegfried is excited about Natasha Anderson, Lindsay Harrelson, Clinton Jackson, Karyn Leon, Nayasha Mendez and Erin Norton joining the Firm.
Natasha Anderson, CPA, CVA, CGMA
Natasha is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, and Chartered Global Management Accountant, who joins the South Florida Market as a Senior Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Verizon Communications Inc., and also has extensive experience in Public Accounting from PwC, Deloitte, and McGladrey, where she gained overall nine years of audit experience with a primary focus in Financial Services industry. She received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting and her Executive Masters in Forensic Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
Natasha is a confident and energetic professional, who is committed to adding value to all of her engagements. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and approaches all tasks with high importance and a sense of energizing innovation. Natasha says, "The opportunity to assist clients and add value, while working in a great and rewarding environment is the reason why I am part of Siegfried today."
In her free time, Natasha enjoys to travel, and has been to numerous countries worldwide to experience the local culture. She is fascinated by languages, speaks several fluently, and enjoys picking up new languages during her travels.
Lindsay Harrelson, CPA
Lindsay is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Charlotte Market as an Associate Manager. She started her career in accounting at PwC and later worked in the Internal Audit department at Leidos in the Washington, DC area. Lindsay received her Bachelor's in Accounting from Clemson University and her Masters in Accounting from the College of Charleston.
Lindsay is looking forward to gaining experience that she would not find working in the private industry, and looks forward to bringing a diligent work ethic and structured approach on every project. "I chose Siegfried based on the opportunity to expand my knowledge by working with different clients on various challenging projects."
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys traveling to new places as well as exploring her new city of Charlotte, North Carolina. Her most recent adventure took her to the Cayman Islands. She is also an avid football fan and takes any chance she has to attend games!
Clinton Jackson, CA
Clint is a Chartered Accountant from South Africa who joins the Charlotte Market as an Associate Manager. He joins Siegfried from Westpac New Zealand, where he gained experience in the banking industry, and has also previously worked with PwC. Clint received his Bachelors of Commerce in Accountancy from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
Clint takes a detail-oriented approach to every project, and remains adaptable through his judicious flexibility. He says, "I joined Siegfried to gain valuable U.S. experience with a variety of clients, and for the opportunity to work with other like-minded individuals."
In his free time, Clint is an avid traveler who has been all over the globe, both for work and leisure. His travels have taken him to destinations such as West Africa, Japan, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and the Caribbean. He also enjoys staying fit through outdoor sports such as running and hiking.
Karyn Leon
Karyn is an accounting professional who joins the Charlotte market as a Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Carolina Handling, LLC, and her background includes working with Deloitte and the National Football League. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Information Systems from the City University of New York – Queens College.
Karyn has utilized her forward-thinking attention-to-detail and enthusiasm to consistently provide exceptional client service. She works well under pressure and uses her commitment and flexibility in order to provide immediate value to her clients, even on the most challenging projects. "I am excited to take on a new challenge and experience a unique work environment through Siegfried," Karyn says.
Karyn is a big supporter of New York sports, especially the Giants and Yankees. She has a passion for roller coaster rides and enjoys planning trips to different amusement parks to try out new and thrilling rides. Karyn also loves reading, yoga, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Nayasha Mendez
Nayasha is an accounting professional who joins the Atlanta Market as an Associate Manager. She started her accounting career in public accounting at EU, and later gained valuable industry experience at First Data Corporation. Nayasha received her Bachelors in Accounting at South Carolina State University and then completed her Masters of Accounting at the University of Notre Dame.
Having worked with clients in varying industries, Nayasha brings a diverse skill set and a dynamic work ethic to serving her clients, ensuring that she is always exceeding client expectations. Nayasha says, "I joined Siegfried because of the valuable work experience I can gain from working on interesting and challenging assignments for clients in a multitude of industries. Just the idea that five years from now I am able to look back and realize that I worked on that many projects for different clients in challenging roles to me is priceless for my career."
Nayasha is originally from Trinidad and Tobago and in true island girl fashion, she thoroughly enjoys the beach. She is also very involved in Caribbean culture during the Carnival Season in Atlanta. During the off-season she enjoys traveling, watching soccer, spending quality time with family and hanging out with friends.
Erin Norton, CPA
Erin is a Certified Public Account who joins the Houston Market as a Senior Associate. Previous to her work at Siegfried, Erin worked as a Pipeline and Financial Reporting accountant for Occidental Petroleum Corporation and in the role of Senior Auditor for EU. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business from Indiana University.
Erin prides herself on leading and solving complex projects with poise, confidence and authenticity. Her positive attitude, inquisitive mind and disciplined work-ethic make her a perfect fit for Siegfried's business model. According to Erin, "My self-propelled ingenuity drives me to consistently work to wards creating new, improved efficiencies while exceeding the project's overall goal."
In her free time, Erin loves to cook and shop for home decor. She is often inspired to try out new things from her favorite channels, HG TV and The Food Network. Erin also loves to travel whenever she gets the chance!
