The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the West Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., June 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at the Four Seasons' Swann Lounge, and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in Philadelphia such as Smith & Wollensky, Vetri and Parc.

In the West Region, Siegfried is excited about Kent Baltare, Don Dinh, Richard Labuschagne, Michael Pietrobon, Michelle Prokocki, Katie Smysnuik and Chris Trump joining the Firm.

Kent Baltare, CA

Kent is a Chartered Accountant who joins the San Jose Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from his role as a Senior Associate at PwC. Kent received his Bachelors of Art in Financial Economics from Carleton University, located in Ottawa Ontario, Canada.

Kent provides progressive solutions to his clients, utilizing his creative problem solving skills to excel in dynamic environments and provide the most efficient and effective results possible. Kent says "The ability to help clients face adversity while adding value is what drew me to work for The Siegfried Group." 

In his free time, Kent is a triathlete who also stays very active through golf, hockey, tennis, and surfing and enjoys taking part in different styles of yoga. He is also very engaged in the Canadian real estate market!

Don Dinh, CA, CPA

Don is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant who joins the San Jose Market as a Senior Associate. His previous work experience includes several years within the audit and assurance groups at PwC, where he primarily focused on mining, venture capital and insurance. Don has a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Victoria and received his diploma in Accounting from Camosun College.

Don delivers a dynamic analysis to his clients, bringing a positive energy to every project and remaining focused on tackling complex problems. "I am ready to make the move into industry and gain new challenging experiences from exciting clients that the Northern California Region has to offer." 

Don enjoys staying active and has recently developed a passion for kickboxing. When he is not at the gym, he can be found enjoying outdoor sports such as hiking and snowboarding. Before he became an accountant, Don worked as an operating room nurse!

Richard Labuschange, CA

Richard is a Chartered Accountant from South Africa who joins the Los Angeles Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to the Siegfried group from KPMG South Africa where he gained three years of audit experience in multiple different industries. Richard received his Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town.

Richard is a dedicated professional who strives to bring progressive problem-solving on every project. He says, "I joined Siegfried to gain experience, through interesting and challenging projects, across different industries in the United States."

In his spare time, Richard loves to travel and experience new things. He is a passionate Rugby, Cricket and Football supporter, and is now looking for an American sport to adopt. He also loves being on the water, and is an avid diver, fisherman and spear fisherman.

Michael Pietrobon, CA

Mike is a Chartered Account who recently relocated from Vancouver, Canada to join the San Jose Market as a Senior Associate. He joins Siegfried after spending over three years with PwC. Mike received his Bachelors of Commerce with a specialization in finance and his Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia.

Mike's engaging and dynamic enthusiasm, coupled with savvy creativity, allow him to quickly and effectively respond to client needs. Mike says, "I am most excited about the diversity of client projects as well as surrounding myself with other interesting and ambitious people. This is why I decided to join the Siegfried team."

In his spare time, Mike enjoys keeping active through hockey, soccer, and running and is looking forward to continuing his active lifestyle in the Bay Area. He is a dedicated Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Seahawks supporter and an avid traveler. He has been to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and Mexico and plans to further explore the world! His bucket list includes climbing Mt Everest, appearing on Jeopardy, and qualifying for the Boston Marathon.  

Michelle Prokocki, CPA

Michelle is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Denver Market as a Senior Associate. She previously gained experience in auditing and consulting at EY and Opportune, primarily in the banking, real estate and oil & gas industries. She received her BA in Economics from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, and her in Masters in Accounting from the University of Denver.

Michelle applies her logical analytic ability, inquisitive attention to detail and diligent work ethic to deliver timely and accurate results. She interacts personably and effectively with teams to ensure client needs are met through consistent interaction and a thorough understanding of the task at hand. According to Michelle, "My constructive approach allows me to produce creative and lasting solutions to add value to clients and exceed their expectations."

In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending as much time as possible with close friends and family. She stays active by running or playing volleyball, usually in Washington Park, a popular park in the Denver area.

Katie Smysnuik, CA

Katie is a Chartered Accountant from Vancouver, British Columbia who is joining the San Jose Market as a Senior Associate.  She comes to Siegfried from PwC, where she spent three and a half years in the assurance group with a focus in manufacturing and retail. Katie received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia.

Katie produces effective results for all of her clients by utilizing her on-target insights. She says, "What sold me on Siegfried was the exposure to new and exciting industries. I look forward to having the opportunity to be challenged and learn new skills while working with other like-minded, driven professionals." 

In her free time, Katie enjoys staying active through yoga and hiking, as well as discovering everything her new home has to offer. As a recent transplant to Northern California, she hopes to try her hand at surfing and take in as many of the cultural events in the area as possible!

Chris Trump, CPA

Chris is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Denver Market as a Senior Manager. He comes to The Siegfried Group with over 11 years of combined experience between public accounting and industry, with a primary focus in real estate. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from The University of Central Florida.

Chris is a self-motivated and extremely goal oriented professional who brings a committed flexibility to everything he does. He prides himself on his attention to detail in addition to his uncanny ability to connect with others. Chris says, "I chose to become a part of Siegfried because I believe in the model and the idea of new challenges on a regular basis is intriguing."

Along with his wife and two children, Chris recently moved to Denver, Colorado from South Florida. In his free time, he stays busy entertaining his seven year old daughter and three year old son. One of his passions is college football and a personal bucket list item is to one day watch his alma mater play for, and hopefully win, a National Championship.
