The Siegfried Group, LLP Welcomes New Professionals from the West Region for Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of the Firm's Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The group was able to unwind during cocktail receptions as well as enjoy small group dinners held at some of the finest restaurants in Las Vegas.

In Siegfried's Los Angeles and Denver offices in the West region, the Firm is excited about Ying Lau, Marcel Pineda and Renay Shelton joining the team.

Ying Lau

Ying joins Siegfried's Los Angeles Market as a Director. Previously, she has worked at Sony, where she was Senior Finance Manager for both the accounting and planning groups. She has had over ten years of experience, serving various accounting and finance capacities in the manufacturing, apparel and entertainment industries. She received her BA in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Accounting Certificate at University of California, Los Angeles.

Ying is excited to be a part of Siegfried. "I am very excited for the opportunity to work in different industries and markets. The idea that I will get to assist a diverse array of companies while continuing to learn and grow is the most wonderful gift."

When she has time outside of work, Ying loves to be in the mountains. As a rock climber, ice climber, and a mountaineer, her goal is to summit the remaining four California 14er's, mountains in California with at least a 14,000 foot elevation.

Marcel Pineda, CPA

Marcel is a Certified Public Accountant joining Siegfried's Denver Market as a Senior Associate. He joins the Firm from Deloitte, where he gained three years of audit experience, two in New Orleans and one year in Denver. He received his BS in Finance and Masters in Accounting from Tulane University in Louisiana.

Marcel says, "The variety of work and industry experience was what drew me to Siegfried, but the culture and business development opportunities are what really excited me about joining the Siegfried."

In his spare time, Marcel enjoys taking advantage of the great weather Colorado has to offer by participating in various sports leagues, hiking, and camping. Marcel also loves to travel, and while in college participated in a study abroad program in Madrid, Spain for six months.

Renay Shelton

Renay joins Siegfried's Los Angeles Market as a Director. She joins the Firm from Education Management Corporation, where she developed materials and instructed on a collegiate level. Renay received both her BS in Accounting and her MBA in Business from Chancellors University in her home town of Cleveland, Ohio. 

Renay loves to take on out-of-the-box projects as well as new and exciting accounting challenges. According to Renay, "I appreciate the opportunities to progress within The Siegfried Group, and I strive to be a true difference maker within the Firm."

In her leisure time, Renay volunteers as a member of the International Board of Treasury for her Bible Study, and serves as a member of both the National Association of Accountants and the National Association of MBA's.
