The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the Central Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, CEO and Founder, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at The Logan Hotel's Commons Lounge and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including City Tap House and Fogo de Chao.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Taylor Barlow, Colleen Caplice, Kasey Coleman, Jason Solnik and Stephen Taylor joining the Firm.

Taylor Barlow
Taylor joins the Philadelphia Market as a Senior Associate. She comes to Siegfried from Deloitte in Hartford where she was an Audit Senior. During her time at Deloitte, Taylor worked in multiple industries such as utilities and manufacturing. She received her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Taylor's collaborative nature combined with her desire to build connections make her a valuable member to any team. Taylor says, "The ability to integrate and collaborate with new team members is what excites me about my new role with The Siegfried Group."

In her free time, Taylor likes to travel the world. Her goal is to travel to all seven continents and see the New Seven Wonders of the World. This summer she went to Hong Kong and Beijing which led to continent number six, Asia, and her third wonder, The Great Wall of China. She is currently researching the best ways to travel to Antarctica and hopes to make the trip soon. 

Collen Caplice, CPA
Colleen is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as an Associate Manager. Colleen comes from RSM US LLP (formerly McGladrey) where she was a Manager and has six years of audit experience. She received her Bachelors in Accounting at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she also played basketball for four years.

Colleen brings confidence and enthusiasm to every project. She enjoys a challenge and is excited to take on whatever Siegfried sends her way. "When I first learned of Siegfried and its unique business model, I was intrigued because the variety of projects, industries and clients would push me out of my comfort zone. Then I met some coworkers and realized the Siegfried employee is just as unique as the business model and these intelligent, motivated individuals will challenge me to grow, as well."

Outside of work, Colleen enjoys cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Each year her family plans multiple adventures around the Chicago area which have included Medieval Times, indoor skydiving, painting classes and an art tour guided by her siblings. Colleen also enjoys cheering on her Chicago sports teams and seeing them play live whenever she can!

Kasey Coleman, CPA
Kasey is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as an Associate Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Essendent where she gained a year and a half of financial reporting experience. Prior to that, Kasey gained five years of audit experience from McGladrey LLP and BKD LLP with a primary focus in the manufacturing and distribution industry. She received her Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Central Arkansas.

Kasey loves taking on any challenge that is presented to her. She says, "The opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of different, challenging accounting issues is what drew me to Siegfried."

In her free time, Kasey loves spending time with her family, traveling, reading a good book and watching movies.

Jason Solnik, CPA, CA
Jason is a Chartered Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from Grant Thornton, where he gained eight years of audit experience with a focus on manufacturing and distribution, real estate and construction, and financial services.

Jason utilizes his ability to develop pragmatic solutions combined with his positive mindset to lead, integrate and adapt with his teams. He says, "I joined Siegfried to take on challenging, complex projects with an industry focus that would allow me to grow both personally and professionally."

In his free time, Jason enjoys playing tennis, chess and travelling. He has travelled to ten different countries in North, South and Central America and taught himself Spanish along the way. Jason is also an avid hockey fan and looks forward to watching some great Blackhawks hockey.

Stephen Taylor, CPA
Stephen is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Chicago Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from KPMG and also spent time at Northern Trust. While at KPMG, he gained five years of audit experience within a myriad of industries but primarily technology, telecommunications, broadcasting and entertainment. During his time at Northern Trust, he developed and piloted the Form PF and AIFMD regulatory filing processes for the largest global hedge manager. Stephen received his Bachelors in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado- Boulder.

His upbeat attitude and contagious positivity, paired with his divergent thinking and creative solutions to complex issues, makes him a rarity in the workplace. Stephen says, "The opportunity of taking on extremely challenging projects within a variety of industries made me want to be a contributor to the Siegfried team." 

Stephen grew up in Colorado, which is where is passion for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and outdoor activities such as hiking 14er's, skiing, fishing and camping stems from. In his free time, Stephen enjoys traveling back to his family farm to play with his twin nephews, as well as around the world. He has been to over 20 countries and enjoys exploring the unique charms that make Chicago a truly special place to live. He also immerses himself in live music events whenever the opportunity presents itself.
