The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the Northeast Region for New Hire Orientation

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception hosted at Three Dots and a Dash where everyone enjoyed their favorite tiki drinks. They also experienced lovely dinners at places like Gibson's Bar & Steakhouse, as well as Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Brett Goldsmith, Phyllis Luu, Gabriel Minasian and Oded Segev joining the Firm.

Brett Goldsmith, CPA
Brett is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from SS&C Technologies working as a Fund Administrator for a year and from EisnerAmper, where he gained three years of audit experience working in their financial services group. He received his BS in Business Administration from SUNY Buffalo.

Brett's positive attitude and competitive nature, allows him to tackle all obstacles that come his way, while encouraging his team members to be their best. Brett says, "The exposure to many different industries and the variety of challenging projects is what brought me to join The Siegfried Group."

In his free time, Brett stays active playing in an adult hockey league in Manhattan and trying new restaurants throughout the New York City area. He is an avid Islanders fan since his father started taking him to games in the early 1990s.

Phyllis Luu, CA
Phyllis is a Chartered Accountant who joins the New York Metro Market as a Senior Associate. She comes to Siegfried after over a year at ANZ, one of Australia's big four banks and three years of audit experience at PwC Australia. She obtained a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of New South Wales majoring in Accounting and Business Statistics.

Phyllis' intellectual curiosity and knack for picking up new concepts enables her to dive straight into any problem to provide a solution. Her can-do attitude, combined with analytical ability allows her to face any difficult project and deliver outstanding outcomes. "I was drawn to Siegfried because of the opportunity to develop myself professionally by working on a wide range of projects with inspiring and motivated people."

In her spare time, Phyllis is the caretaker to a balcony garden and aspires to one day own a world famous succulent and cactus plot. Until then, she maintains a balanced lifestyle through sports, travel and enjoying the outdoors.

Gabriel Minasian
Gabe joins the New York Metro Market as an Associate Director. He comes to Siegfried from AIG, where he gained six years of financial reporting and analytics experience with a primary focus in external reporting and systems implementations. He previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Deloitte and The State of New Jersey, where he gained six years of consolidations, financial reporting and audit experience. He received his BS in Accounting and BA in Spanish from The College of New Jersey.

Gabe's forward-thinking and innovative approach to solving problems, coupled with his desire to mentor his teams makes him a value-adding member of any team. Gabe says, "I joined Siegfried because I knew employees who spoke very highly of the Firm and because I wanted to expand upon my strong job experiences."

In his free time, Gabe enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid action movie buff who enjoys the "dine-in" theatres that let you watch your favorite movie while enjoying a casual meal. He also enjoys classic car shows, as he hopes to own one in the future and the odd flea market find.

Oded Segev, CPA, CHA
Oded is a Certified Public Accountant who joined the New York Metro Market as a Manager. He comes to Siegfried from a real estate private equity fund, where he served as a controller, an asset manager, an underwriter and had also helped with investor relations. Previously, Oded spent six years an auditor in the investment management practice with KPMG. Oded is also a Certified Hotel Administrator and as an asset manager in the hospitality field, he was responsible for overseeing several turnaround projects for boutique and full service/timeshare resorts. He received his BS in Accounting from Binghamton University. 

His dynamic background enables him to deploy creative thinking to solve complex problems. His goal is to unify and lead cross-functional teams to continuously exceed expectations. Oded always brings a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit to any team environment in order to develop visionary solutions to intricate issues. His confidence, sense of humor and "get-it-done" attitude allow him to be a vital aspect of every project.

Oded likes to stay active through sports and travel. He is an avid kickboxer and a former track and field collegiate athlete. He also enjoys discovering new wines across the world and has complete his Master Sommelier Level I certification.
