The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the South Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Sept. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey, California. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, Chief Executive Officer and President, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at the Ritz Carlton's Marina Del Rey Upper Pool Terrace, and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including Cast & Plow and The Chart House.

In the South Region, Siegfried is excited about Caryn Douglas, Tom Fitzgerald, Jennifer Rosell and Mateja Whatley joining the Firm.

Caryn Douglas, CPA

Caryn is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Washington, DC Metro Market as a Director. She comes to Siegfried from Randstad, where she gained six years of experience as the Manager of financial reporting.  Prior to Randstad, Caryn worked for PwC where she gained eight years of audit experience, focusing mainly on property casualty insurers.  She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting from Syracuse University.

Caryn excels at rapidly identifying opportunities and executing a plan with focus and determination. She enjoys getting to know people both personally and professionally, and then using her bonds to motivate everyone towards a common goal. Caryn is committed, flexible and possesses the strong drive to implement her ideas with her keen eye for detail. "I joined The Siegfried Group for the variety of experience as well as the opportunity to meet different clients from different industries."

In her free time, Caryn enjoys spending time with her family and trying to keep up with her two year old.  She enjoys baking, traveling and, since she's from Trinidad, going to Carnival whenever her schedule permits.

Tom Fitzgerald

Tom joins Siegfried as a Senior Associate for the Houston Market. He came to Siegfried from the Austin Deloitte office where he spent a little over four years in audit.  He has experience in various industries including oil & gas, construction and insurance.  He grew up in the Chicago area and received his BS in Business Administration and Masters in Accountancy from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  

Tom takes a pioneering problem solving approach to each job looking for unique solutions to provide value to his clients. Tom joined Siegfried to "gain a wider breadth of experiences both personally and professional in order to grow himself and his skill set."

In his free time Tom plays soccer and loves to travel visiting his 30+ cousins and three sisters across the country. When traveling he enjoys visiting local restaurants and places that celebrate the history of an area. He looks forward to seeing new and exciting places during his travels for Siegfried.

Jennifer Rosell, CPA

Jennifer is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the South Florida Market as a Manager. Prior to joining the Firm, she spent eight years with EY's assurance practice in Miami, Florida. She received her BS in Accounting from the University of Florida.

Jennifer has an approachable style and develops strong relationships with others. Her positive attitude, confidence and commitment to her clients enables her to continually exceed high expectations and achieve ambitious goals. Jennifer says, "I look forward to the opportunity to experience a wide-range of interesting and challenging projects in the great and rewarding environment that Siegfried has."

In her free time, Jennifer first and foremost enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves boating, cooking and traveling to new places where she experiences different cultures and foods. She is also an avid Gator fan and loves to watch college football games.

Mateja P. Whatley, CPA

Mateja is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the Atlanta Market as a Manager. She comes to Siegfried from Carr Riggs & Ingram, LLC, where she gained over seven years of audit experience in Employee Benefit Plans, Not-for-Profit, Professional Services, Retail and Manufacturing industries.  She received her BS in Accounting and Finance from Georgia State University.

Mateja consistently sets and exceeds high expectations. She is motivated by a competitive spirit, determined outlook and dedicated work ethic that allows her to help clients achieve their goals in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Mateja says. "The opportunity to gain experience on a variety of projects and working with people that will motivate and challenge my professional growth is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

Mateja grew up in Slovenia, Europe and has lived in the United States for the last 10 years. She enjoys traveling, seeing new places and learning about different cultures. She likes to stay active and enjoys many sports such as tennis, golf, group workout classes, yoga, and running. She was even a captain of the Georgia State Women's Tennis Team.
