The Siegfried Group Welcomes New Professionals from the West Region for New Hire Orientation

WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siegfried Group, LLP recently hosted new professionals from across the United States at Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia. The group learned more about the Firm's unique model, various departments and functions, and heard Robert L. Siegfried, Jr., CPA, CEO and Founder, speak about the Firm's higher purpose.

Siegfried's New Hire Orientation program is centered on introducing new professionals to the Firm's extraordinary culture. It is a great opportunity to meet members of Leadership, the Operations team and other fellow Professional Resources, while enjoying an exciting venue. The four-day program includes sessions on the Firm's structure, Siegfried's Client Service Delivery Model, Professional Resource expectations, as well as interactive presentations from all of the departments throughout the company. The orientation kicked off with a welcome reception at The Continental Mid-town's Rooftop Lounge and throughout orientation, the group was able to enjoy dinners at some of the finest restaurants in the area including Bank & Bourbon and Sampan Restaurant.

The Siegfried Group is excited about Jeff Lavoie and Daniel Mathew joining the Firm.

Jeff Lavoie, CPA, CA

Jeff is a Chartered Professional Accountant who joins the San Jose Market as a Senior Associate. He comes to Siegfried from PwC, where he gained three and a half years of audit and assurance experience with a primary focus in the mining, gaming and retail industries. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Simon Fraser University.

Jeff's strong technology background, coupled with his commitment, teamwork and mental agility, enable him to take on even the most complex of projects, while constantly producing an exemplary work product. He says, "Experiencing a variety of mentally stimulating projects and working with driven and intelligent people is why I wanted to be a part of Siegfried."

In his free time, Jeff is a huge sports junkie who follows and plays all major sports, with his favorites being hockey and basketball. He is a diehard Vancouver Canucks and Los Angeles Lakers fan. Along with playing sports, Jeff loves working out and staying fit, especially outdoor activities like hiking. He plans on finding recreational sports teams wherever his work travels take him to maintain his active lifestyle.

Daniel Mathew, CPA

Daniel is a Certified Public Accountant who joins the San Francisco Market as an Associate Manager. He comes to Siegfried from Aon Global Risk Consulting, where he spent three years in the Risk Accounting team providing forensic accounting and advice to clients on risks relating to property, business interruption and delay in start-up exposures. Daniel started his career with EY in the Assurance team where he gained three years of audit experience across a broad range of industries. He received his Bachelor of Accounting from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Daniel is an ambitious professional who earns respect by being results-orientated. His determined outlook and high expectations allow him to positively influence his team to strive for excellence. His dependable nature brings a sense of stability and calmness that is particularly useful in overcoming challenging situations. Daniel says, "The challenge of working on a wide variety of projects across different industries for the Firm's Fortune 1000 clients was why I wanted to be a part of the Siegfried team. Siegfried's culture is extremely unique in that they work with us to achieve both Firm and personal goals."

In his free time, Daniel stays active through sport and travel. He particularly enjoys long runs and has completed several half marathons in the last few years including his first full marathon this year. Since relocating from Melbourne, Daniel intends to make the most of the opportunities the Firm presents him with as a road warrior to travel across the country. Exploring New York, the Grand Canyon, hiking Yosemite National Park and running the New York and San Francisco half marathons are right at the top of Daniel's must-do list.
