The TASTY AWARDS Announce Opening of Nominations for TV, Film, Online Video, and Radio Programs

SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELES, July 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The TASTY AWARDS Committee is pleased to announce that program and film nominations are now being accepted for the upcoming awards event in Hollywood.

The 3rd Annual TASTY Awards celebrate the year's best in food, fashion, and home lifestyle programs on Television, in Film, Online, and on Radio. Attendees, nominees, honorees and winners include television, web and radio celebrities and tastemakers from across the country.

Producers, stations, channels, hosts, and viewers may submit nominations between July 17th and August 25th, 2011. Finalists are announced in November, and the Winners are celebrated in January 2012. To submit a nomination for any category, go to www.TastyAwards.com.

The Annual Awards has included appearances by stars, celebrities, producers and executives from networks and platforms such as the Food Network, the Style Network, Bravo, the Cooking Channel, TLC, Discovery, Lifetime, E! Entertainment Television, PBS, NBC, ABC, the CW, HGTV, the Travel Channel, HD Net, Hulu, YouTube, Sony Pictures, and more.

In addition to new judges added to the roster, several new association partnerships and sponsorships have been confirmed for the 3rd Annual TASTY Awards, such as the ACF Chefs de Cuisine Association of California, the ACF Washington State Chefs Association, Summer Jasmines sandals, Ferrara Flame outdoor living designs, Drink Me magazine, and Cuisine Noir magazine.

The Awards Committee is also pleased to announce that new TASTY Awards Celebrity Ambassadors include Brian Boitano (Global Ambassador), Chef Fabio Viviani (Culinary Ambassador), Candice Kumai (Culinary Ambassador), Leslie Sbrocco (Wine Ambassador), and Darryl Robinson (Mixology Ambassador).

New partners include the gourmet Schiltz Foods Roasted Goose, the "Official Poultry of the TASTY Awards," which was served to great acclaim at the recent Launch Party on July 17th in San Francisco. At this event Peju Province Winery, Raymond Vineyards, and R&B Cellars were selected as the "People's Choice Cabernets of the TASTY Awards."
