The Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation Announces Educator Excellence Award Winner, Jocelyn Aventurado, from Foster High School
AUSTIN, Texas, May 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation (TRAEF) announced Jocelyn Aventurado as this year's recipient of the Educator Excellence Award. She was selected by a panel of the TRAEF Board of Trustees consisting of chefs, educators and industry leaders. Ms. Aventurado will be recognized at the Texas Restaurant Association's annual gala, "Night of Excellence" June, 25th in Houston, Texas.
She will receive, as the award winner, $1000 to be used toward her culinary program, two tickets to the Texas Restaurant Association Marketplace tradeshow in Houston, and will be represented as the Texas nominee for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation ProStart Educator Excellence Award, in Chicago, May 2017.
Ms. Aventurado holds a Master of Science in Family & Consumers Sciences, has completed a Nutrition & Dietetics Internship at Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, and received her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics at Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. Click Here for Photo
