National In-Home Senior Care Provider Awards Grants to 16 Organizations Supporting Older Adults
BRYN MAWR, Pa., June 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Visiting Angels Foundation, the charitable arm of the nation's leading provider of in-home senior care, is pleased to announce 16 new nonprofit grant recipients for 2025. Each organization was nominated by a Visiting Angels franchise owner for its outstanding service to older adults and vulnerable populations in communities across the country. The 2025 grants total nearly $70,000 in funding, supporting a wide range of programs that improve the lives of seniors nationwide.

2025 Visiting Angels Foundation Grant Recipients:
- Brethren Hillcrest Homes – Nominated by Andrew Dilwicius, Visiting Angels Glendora, CA. Provides skilled nursing care and holistic support to seniors who cannot afford it, upholding dignity and compassion.
- Church Health Services, Inc. – Nominated by Matthew Thompson, Visiting Angels Beaver Dam, WI. Offers dental, mental health, and medical care for underserved and uninsured individuals, impacting thousands annually.
- Elder Services of Berkshire County, Inc. – Nominated by Richard Messer, Visiting Angels Pittsfield, MA. Operates the Meals on Wheels program in Berkshire County, ensuring older adults receive nutritious meals and critical support.
- Health Care Providers Council of Pierce County – Nominated by Kelly Chambers, Visiting Angels Tacoma, WA. Supports seniors and caregivers through education, Alzheimer's resources, and professional development in senior care.
- Hood County Committee on Aging – Nominated by Kase Spears, Visiting Angels Granbury, TX. Delivers meals, transportation, and social programs for homebound seniors, reducing isolation and hunger.
- Parker County Committee on Aging Inc. – Nominated by Kase Spears, Visiting Angels Granbury, TX. Provides meals, community activities, and support services to vulnerable seniors and veterans.
- Pennsylvania Foundation for Homecare and Hospice – Nominated by Susan Heinle, Visiting Angels York, PA. Offers financial assistance to make in-home care and hospice services more accessible across Pennsylvania.
- San Antonio Coalition for Veterans and Families – Nominated by Lee and Letty Inabinet, Visiting Angels Windcrest, TX. Assists senior veterans in crisis by providing emergency shelter, food, and personal care while navigating bureaucratic delays.
- St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation – Nominated by Thomas Dolan, Visiting Angels Fairfield, CT. Supports cancer patients, including older adults, with financial assistance, transportation, and home care resources.
- The Art Station – Nominated by Dale Brock, Visiting Angels Fort Worth, TX. Provides mental health services and therapy for veterans, including those with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries.
- The Center at Belvedere – Nominated by Chris Dickey, Visiting Angels Fredericksburg, VA. A nationally recognized senior center offering programs that promote healthy aging and lifelong learning.
- The Silver Tree Project – Nominated by Peg Pickett, Visiting Angels Lady Lake, FL. Delivers essential items and emotional support to isolated and underserved seniors in the community.
- Twilight Wish Foundation – Nominated by Andy Nandy, Visiting Angels Jenkintown, PA. Grants meaningful wishes to low-income seniors, bringing dignity, joy, and intergenerational connection.
- Visiting Nurses Foundation – Nominated by KeriAnn Council, Visiting Angels Lacey, WA. Supports hospice and home health care through comfort therapy, caregiver respite, scholarships, and equipment access.
- Whittier Meals on Wheels – Nominated by Andrew Dilwicius, Visiting Angels Whittier, CA. Provides daily meal delivery to local seniors, helping them maintain independence and nutrition.
- Windy Hill Senior Center – Nominated by Susan Heinle, Visiting Angels York, PA. Offers meals, social programming, and support services that foster connection and well-being for older adults.
