Thousands of Dollars in Prizes Awarded in AGORA images Photography Contests

AGORA images is the global photography community that votes for the world's best images of 52 different hashtags a year. So far they have distributed more than 50 thousand dollars in prizes 

Millions of people from all over the world are uploading images on social networks as part of their daily lives. It is within this context that AGORA images has established itself as the app with the highest photo Contest prizes on the planet. With users in over 193 countries AGORA images rewards photographers whose photos best reflect, not their personal lives as is commonplace on social media, but their own creative point of view of different universal concepts.

This is the purpose of two of the most recent Contests currently open for entries on AGORA images: #Freedom and #Health. Anyone from anywhere in the world can participate for free by simply uploading their best photos to the app. The Hero (the name given to winners) will receive $1,000 and 100,000 stars (the scoring system used to determine the user's photographic level on the app). The Contest Heroes also get published on the AGORA Review, the app's digital magazine, in an exclusive blog post and video featuring their work.

Previous Contest winners also participate, this time as guest judges. Their photos return to grace the screens of users serving as inspiration to the community whilst at the time receiving visibility and recognition for their award-winning work. In this way AGORA images fuels a cycle which benefits all those who form part of AGORA images.

In each Contest 50 of the thousands of photos uploaded are voted Finalists by the community. They receive 5,000 stars and a special T-shirt highlighting their contribution to the creative revolution proposed by AGORA images. Octavi Royo, the CEO, asserts "we want to go beyond what other social networks, such as Facebook or Instagram, offer - we want to reward the personal points of view that each photographer's images reflect".

This November in Barcelona AGORA images was awarded the prize of Best App in Spain of 2018 in the TheAwards2018, recognizing the app's efforts as a disruptive, scalable and global idea.
