LOS ANGELES, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LATV Networks, the first national bi-cultural entertainment network, is proud to announce a total of three nominations for The Imagen Awards.
The Imagen Foundation announced the nominees for the 27th Annual Imagen Awards, honoring positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in entertainment.
The three LATV Networks productions are:
Vive Tu Musica, nominated for Best Reality Series. Vive Tu Musica is LATV's first original reality show, where viewers follow music bands from across the country as they vie for their big break in the ultimate battle of the bands.
American Latino TV, nominated for Best Informational Show. American Latino TV is a weekly, half-hour show that celebrates American Latino Pride and sets the standard for culturally relevant television for young, U.S. born Latinos in the United States.
LatiNation, nominated for Best Informational Show. LatiNation is a weekly magazine show that takes an entertaining look at the impact of Latino culture in the U.S. through the eyes of extra-ordinary artists, entertainers, and athletes.
"American Latino" and "LatiNation," are broadcast on general market stations in over 100 cities nationwide.
"It is an honor to be nominated, not once but three times for programs that pushed the envelope both in English and in Spanish," commented Luca Bentivoglio, LATV's COO and Head of Programming. "The nominations are a reflection of all the hard work and creativity LATV's team has put into these unique and dynamic programs."
LATV is the only remaining Latino-owned TV network in the Hispanic television space. Its programming primarily targets U.S.-born Latinos and the coveted bi-cultural 18-49 Latino demographic, with content that features a combination of originally produced shows as well as licensed content that has never before been seen in the U.S.
LATV's fully-owned subsidiary, American Latino Syndication, produces and distributes "American Latino" and "LatiNation," two award-winning, Latino-themed TV programs that are broadcast on general market stations in over 100 cities nationwide. All LATV's original shows and American Latino Syndication productions are entirely produced at The Complex Studios, the full service, state-of-the-art production center located in West Los Angeles.
