Tickets Now Available For Ninth Annual Detroit Uncorked Benefiting The Children's Center

Detroit Uncorked is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2013 at The Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit

This annual event is presented by Ford Motor Company, in collaboration with Detroit Wine Organization, to benefit The Children's Center

Take advantage of the early purchase ticket package: General Admission: $75 and VIP Experience: $130, prior to August 31

DETROIT, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Ninth Annual Detroit Uncorked, presented by Ford Motor Company will take place at The Westin Book Cadillac on September 27, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Since its inauguration, Detroit Uncorked has raised more than $450,000 for The Children's Center.

Detroit Uncorked is one of the region's largest wine tasting events and this year is no exception. Hundreds of wines from around the world, Michigan handcrafted beers, premium spirits and delectable food with suggested wine pairings will all be featured. The Winery of the Year Award will go to Kendall-Jackson. Master Sommelier Larry O'Brien, one of only 133 in North America, will be in attendance.

General Admission tickets are $75 and include light hors d'oeuvres, a tasting of over 300 wines, a high-end silent auction including a chance to bid on a wine lover's trip including two tickets, courtesy of Delta Air Lines, a VIP tour at the Kendall-Jackson winery and overnight accommodations. Guests will also have the opportunity to enter to win a 2014 Mustang GT including $5,000 in Ford Racing Performance Parts as part of this year's Mustang 5.0 Fever Sweepstakes. The evening's emcee is Jay Towers of Fresh 100.3 FM.

A limited number of VIP Experience tickets are available at $130, which includes all of the General Admission ticket benefits plus a full strolling dinner, rare and limited wine selection and live entertainment.  After August 31, ticket prices will increase to $85 for General Admission and $150 for the VIP Experience.

There are also several packages with an overnight stay at The Westin Book Cadillac. The Wine Lover's VIP Couple Overnight Package includes two VIP Experience tickets and an overnight stay for two with valet parking. The price is $400 per couple if purchased by August 31. The Wine Enthusiast General Admission Couple Package includes two General Admission tickets and an overnight stay for two and valet parking. It is $300 if purchased by August 31.
