Tickets Now On Sale for 2026-2027 Thoroughbred & Quarter Horse Racing Seasons

HOUSTON, Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The countdown to another exciting season of live racing is officially on! Tickets for Sam Houston Race Park's 2026 - 2027 live racing season are now on sale at SHRP.com.

Thoroughbred racing kicks off Dec. 18, 2026 and continues through Apr. 3, 2027 and will be followed by the Quarter Horse season of Apr. 15 to Jun. 12. The northwest Houston horse track has enhanced many of its special events, family entertainment and giveaways for the upcoming seasons.

Fans can look forward to the return of some of SHRP's most popular events, along with exciting new additions to the 2027 calendar. The 2027 promotional calendar features a variety of signature events and unique experiences throughout the season allowing guests to enjoy special giveaways, tastings, appreciation events and other promotions.

First race post time are 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with select special post times throughout the season – be sure an confirm at shrp.com.

The horse track offers numerous seating opportunities:

Family-Friendly Free Seating – Indoor and outdoor seating options available, giving younger racing fans a great view of the action.
Box & Reserved Seating – Comfortable reserved seating available on the Clubhouse Level (2nd Floor).
Winner's Circle Restaurant – Accommodates up to 600 race fans with great views of the races and nightly dinner specials.
Private Suites – Elevated private experiences available for groups of 10 to 100 guests.
