Tim Sorenson Has Been Appointed New American Funding's Divisional Executive Vice President for the Southwest

TUSTIN, Calif., Aug. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- New American Funding (NAF), a leading independent mortgage lender, has named Tim Sorenson as its new divisional executive vice president for the southwest. This strategic move emphasizes NAF's commitment to strengthening its retail presence in the region and driving business growth.

With more than two decades of mortgage lending experience, Sorenson will be responsible for guiding loan officers across a broad geographic area, encompassing Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming, and the Southern California region. He will also focus on accelerating growth and implementing strategic recruiting initiatives. Sorenson will report directly to Tony Blodgett, NAF's executive vice president of national sales – west.

Sorenson most recently served as divisional executive vice president for Rate, where he led retail operations across Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. During his eight-year tenure at Rate, he managed key projects that enhanced customer satisfaction and retention by leveraging his expertise in sales operations and underwriting. Prior to Rate, Sorenson was the director of residential lending at Lutheran Burbank Savings. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from California State University, Fullerton.
