China's TiO2 producers see stable TiO2 price in July 2012, due to the high price of its raw material, titanium concentrate ore and the soft TiO2 demand from downstream industry in China in July 2012.
China imported less TiO2 in May 2012 compared with that in April 2012. However, China exported more TiO2 in May 2012 compared with that in April 2012. On the basis of 71,059 tonnes of TiO2 import volume and 209,551 tonnes of TiO2 export volume in China from Jan. 2012 to May 2012, it is estimated that TiO2 import volume may fall while export volume may rise in China in the whole year of 2012, compared with those in 2011. In terms of the TiO2 production technology, chloride process TiO2 project starts to develop fast in China. For example, Henan Billions is going to build its new chloride process TiO2 plant in cooperation with PPG Industries.
