Tory Sherman joins Truist Wealth as Wealth Brokerage national director

Industry veteran tapped to accelerate Wealth Brokerage growth

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Truist Wealth, the private wealth business of Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE: TFC), today announced the appointment of Tory Sherman as Wealth Brokerage national director, a newly created role focused on advancing Truist Wealth's growth strategy.

Reporting to Bryan Cram, head of Wealth Brokerage for Truist Wealth, Sherman will oversee Wealth Brokerage sales and sales support functions, with responsibility for advisor productivity, client acquisition and revenue growth. He will partner closely with teams across Truist Wealth, Wholesale Banking and Truist Premier to advance a unified go-to-market strategy and deliver a differentiated client and advisor experience.

Sherman has nearly 30 years of wealth management experience, having led markets, regions and national organizations throughout his career. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and president at Comerica Financial Advisors, where he oversaw the firm's national brokerage and wealth advisory business. He also served as national sales and strategy leader at Comerica where he designed and implemented enterprise-wide sales strategies while strengthening cross-functional partnerships.

Prior to Comerica, he spent two decades at Wells Fargo, starting as a financial advisor before taking on market and senior wealth management leadership roles.
