TAIPEI, Taiwan, Feb. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel Chan, CEO, announced that Toss Lab raised additional funds in December 2015 to bolster growth.
"We are actively recruiting top-tier developers to meet the needs of our customers more quickly," said Chan. "At the same time, we are expanding our account management and customer success teams, and exploring new geographies in order to spread the value of JANDI to as many workplaces across Asia as possible."
The new investment was led by Qualcomm Ventures and HnAP and brings total pre-Series A convertible bonds raised to over USD 4.5M. Qualcomm Ventures and HnAP join SoftBank Ventures and Cherubic Ventures on Toss Lab's institutional roster.
"Toss Lab's business growth – the key to any startup – along with its professional team and passionate management, and the synergy with HnAP make this an ideal collaboration," said Park Hoon Jung, CEO of HnAP.
The raise comes after Toss Lab won Qualcomm Ventures' QPrize™ international seed investment competition. First, they won the regional competition, then went on to become the QPrize Grand Finals winner for 2015.
JANDI's user base grew over 40% a month in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea in 2015, and includes influential customers in diverse industries ranging from tech and media (such as Ticketmonster, YelloMobile, and Mangoplate) to offline retail (such as TOMS Shoes Korea, The Booth, and Vatos Tacos). The recent release of JANDI Connect, which will initially support integrations with GitHub, JIRA, Trello, and Google Calendar as well as a webhook (open API), further enhances JANDI's position as the central hub for all its customers' communication and collaboration needs, and establishes it as the leading player of its kind for startups and innovative companies.
