Tourism Authority of Thailand's Fabulous 40+ Photo Contest Winners

BANGKOK, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its international "Find Your Fabulous" wellness and medical tourism campaign, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce the winners of the competition intended to salute ladies who are still looking fit and fabulous after their 40th birthday. Women from around the world were invited to submit their images on Facebook, showing off their fabulous forms, and the contestant that received the highest number of votes won the top prize. The winner was announced on 11 October 2013 on Facebook.

• Winner: Vimonvan Dejdamrong, Thailand, with 1,755 votes
• 1st Runner up: Waewwiroon Jatupormdecha, Thailand, with 799 votes
• 2nd Runner up: Mary Anne Arellano, Philippines, with 606 votes

The competition was held from the end of August to the 10th of October, with prizes redeemable from the 15th of October to 15th of December. 93 participants from around the world including participants from Thailand, the Philippines, United States and Canada chose to submit their fabulous photos showing their best face, figure and poise that defines the modern fabulous woman in her forties and beyond. The Winner, 1st Runner up and 2nd Runner up will all receive wellness and beauty packages worth over a total of $30,000 USD for themselves and a friend.

In addition to the winner receiving a full medical checkup, dermatology treatments, and a spa package, the grand prize also includes two roundtrip air tickets and a deluxe 2-night stay at the stylish 5-star Sofitel So Bangkok, including daily breakfast. The first runner-up will receive the health and wellness packages for two as well as 2-night accommodation at Imperial Queen's Park Hotel, while the second runner-up will receive the health and wellness packages for herself and a friend.

The aim of the contest was to show off the fabulous looks of women over 40, demonstrating that for many women, age is no impediment to looking fit, fab, and fantastic.
