TrackAbout Wins WLGA Innovation Category Award at Liquid Gas Week 2026

FLORHAM PARK, N.J., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TrackAbout, Datacor's cylinder inventory management & tracking platform, has received the Innovation Category Award for Safety and Product Quality at the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) Global Technology Conference (GTC), held during Liquid Gas Week 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye. TrackAbout was selected for its entry, "AI-Driven Vision Technology for Cylinder Identification: A New Approach to LPG Asset Management," which Elizabeth Wallace, VP of Product of TrackAbout at Datacor, presented on the main stage on October 13 during Global Technology Conference Session 1.

The winning entry presents vision AI technology that helps LPG distributors increase cylinder turns, reduce cylinder loss, protect revenue, and strengthen compliance. TrackAbout's AI-powered software reads serial numbers, manufacturer marks, test dates, and other indicators stamped on the cylinder from photos, speeding up cylinder registration by as much as 3 times. Operators can register cylinders from photos in the TrackAbout mobile app and scan full pallets with fixed cameras in high-volume operations, reducing the time cylinders sit idle. Each capture produces a time-stamped visual record that distributors can use for audits and resolving disputes over cylinder ownership, location, or status.

TrackAbout customers have reported recovering 25 percent of lost revenue in previously unaccounted assets within the first year and reducing daily return processing time by as much as 75 percent. Cylinder inventories of 5,000 to over 1.5 million are managed on TrackAbout.
