TransPerfect Enhances Technology Offerings With Acquisition Of Applanga

NEW YORK and BERLIN, Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- TransPerfect, the world's largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business, today announced an expansion of the company's GlobalLink platform with the acquisition of Applanga, a Germany-based mobile app and gaming specialist software company. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Applanga was founded in Berlin in 2015 by Christian Stanke and Steffen Römer with a mission to provide technology-enabled localization solutions to broaden the reach of mobile apps and games into new markets. Their clients include agencies, developers, and corporations across multiple industries who aim to extend the reach of their products to international customers and audiences.

The two will join TransPerfect's technology team as directors of the company's rapidly growing gaming and mobile groups, and they will help direct the product roadmap for GlobalLink with a specific focus on how the platform can be best leveraged in the gaming and mobile space.
