FRANKFURT, Germany, May 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
With the German logistics company Conceptum Sport Logistics (http://www.conceptum-sport-logistics.com), the organizers of the World Gliding Championship 2012 (http://www.wgc2012uvalde.us) have gained a well-known partner from the field of cultural project logistics. From July 28 until August 19, gliders from all over the world will fill the sky above Uvalde, Texas. 23 teams and 107 pilots will participate in the event once their gliders have been shipped to the venue by sea and airfreight. Besides the sailplanes - equipment, spare parts and additional vehicles need to be transported to Texas.
"Thorough planning, profound knowledge of local terms and conditions and especially the necessary assertiveness with customs are the crucial requirements for a safe and quick transportation of the gliding equipment", Conceptum CEO Sebastian Stahl explains. This years World Gliding Championship takes place for the 32nd time, but for pilots and logistics experts alike, the gliding season 2012 will be far from over after August 19. Following the Championship, planes and equipment of several gliding teams will be shipped to Argentinia for the National Gliding Championships from December 9 until December 21.
While abiding by the rules of local customs authorities may prove to be a stressful challenge for athletes and pilots themselves, it is a routine job for the Conceptum team. "Professional gear is expensive and very sensitive, therefore our customers highly appreciate our diligent handling of their equipment", Sebastian Stahl knows. His company also takes care of everything else surrounding the Gliding Championships, such as booking hotels and flights for each team. With this comprehensive range of services Conceptum Sport Logistics has become a leading provider of cultural project logistics.
