Transwestern Hires Amber Strang To Lead Fast-Growing Tenant Advisory Practice In U.S.

HOUSTON, Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Transwestern's Houston headquarters today announced Amber Strang has joined the firm as executive managing director of tenant advisory services (TAS), effective immediately. In the newly created role, Strang will advance Transwestern's national TAS platform and lead a growing team of talented professionals to aggressively pursue and secure multi-market business. Based in the firm's Dallas office, Strang will execute innovative strategies and develop best practices for the national platform to enhance the level of service Transwestern provides its expanding occupier client base. In addition to spearheading the firm's fast-growing service line, Strang will also serve on Transwestern's Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Strang will partner with Transwestern's senior TAS professionals as she develops and implements an integrated organizational approach to TAS. Additionally, Strang will support regional efforts in recruiting, skills development and integrated service strategies.

Strang has extensive commercial real estate experience working on behalf of clients such as DirecTV, HSBC Bank, GlaxoSmithKline, AOL Time Warner, JPMorgan Chase, Archon Group, Kenco Group, Sun Microsystems, Aon Corp., 3M Corp. and Centex. Prior to joining Transwestern, Strang worked at Cushman & Wakefield as managing director of corporate occupier and investor services for the 22-state central region. Prior to that, Strang served as senior vice president of global corporate solutions and local brokerage at Jones Lang LaSalle, where she oversaw a portfolio of more than 92 million square feet and developed best practice tools to increase efficiency in all corporate accounts.

Throughout her career, Strang has received many awards and honors. She was named as a 2010 Rising Star by the Colorado Springs Business Journal; 2010 Power Broker by the CoStar Group; recipient of the 2009 Best Practice Award for Transaction Management and 2009 Da Vinci Award Runner-Up by Jones Lang LaSalle; Top 35 Under 35, Commercial Real Estate Broker from 2006 to 2008 by Black's Guide; and 2005 Jones Lang LaSalle Club Winner.

Strang graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in finance and went on to earn a graduate certificate in marketing from the same university. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University. Strang is a licensed real estate broker in Colorado and Texas.
